...Sweet, Spicy & Colorful - that's me & my kitchen

Assalamualaikum ...

... i just want to pen down what i feel for this entry - atm, my life is filled with sweetness, adding to it some spices here and there but in the end.... how colorful and tasteful it turns out to be .... ^___^

My Sweet treats ....

Chocolate Strawberry Cheese Cake ( Chilled )

...Do you know what you can do with this King of Fruits... ?

Durian
... how about this Dessert @ Cake ....

eemm... yummy ... yummyyy .....
My Recipe : DURIAN CHEESE CAKE - Chilled (seasonal)
Ingredients
250gm cream cheese
1/2 cup castor sugar
200gm whipped cream ( i substitute with plain yogurt ) - whipped till fluffy
1 cup of Durian flesh ( without seeds )

** for the base - u can use any baked-cake or biscuits
( to make biscuits base :- 2 cups of mashed/grinned biscuits, 70gm melted unsalted butter and mix them well until combined )
Method
** prepare 7" pan lined with parchment paper and buttered the whole pan lightly.
Press the biscuit crumbs into the bottom of the tin to make an even base and place in the freezer while you make the cheesecake filling.
Beat the cream cheese with sugar until blend together. Then pour the Durian flesh into the cream mixture and mix well. Then fold in the whipped cream gently into the creamed Durian mixture. Take out the pan from the freezer then pour the Durian cheesecake filling over the biscuit base.
Chilled the Durian Cheese Cake overnite or at least 4-5 hours in the freezer.

.... as you grow wiser, you see things differently ... slowly u adapt to life that has been written long before you were in your mama's womb ... life that is full of surprises - sweets and spices ... just like what has came come out from my kitchen heaven ....

My Spicy treats ....

My MotherInLaw cooked the best.....

.... i missed this dish so much ... it originated from Sibu, Sarawak. First time my MIL introduced to me this Bubur Pedas, i was like head-over-heels in love with it..! It is so so so so deliciousssss ... muahhhh
Yesterday, i got to taste or eat the Bubur Pedas ( again after so long ) .... owh boy - i can finished the whole container if it wasn't for my husband too ... hehehehhe ( hakap nyeeee )

...Bubur Pedas Sibu Sarawak
i dunno how it cooked - in fact the main ingredient is the rice and the special spices where ( i think ) you can find the spices or bumbu in Sarawak only, anyway ... perhaps you can google search ( like me ) to know further about this special dish from Sarawak ... ( last time, u can only see this dish cooked during fasting month - Ramadhan ) but now u can have the dish at anytime provided you have the spice rice :-)

Back to the present .... today ....

this afternoon ... i just cooked some rice, a bowl of fried green leaves and SPICY FRIED CHICKEN ... very simple dishes only ... janji cepat masak ...

Resepi :-

- 1 ekor ayam ( dipotong-potong )
- 1 sudu kecil All Spice
- 1 sudu kecil Cayenne
- 1 sudu kecil Powdered Cinnamon
- 4 ke 5 sudu besar TEPUNG JAGUNG
- garam dan kunyit secukup rasa
- minyak untuk menggoreng

Cara saya :-
