SOTONG MASAK TAUCHU


dua hari sudah punya menu ni ...dah tak tahu nak masak apa sotong ni, asyik2 masak tumis cili je tiap kali so... teringat ada sepeket lagi tauchu cap opah...maka, terjadilah resepi sotong masak tauchu..senang aja memasaknya..seperti kita masak ikan gulai tauchu tu...tapi kita gantikan dgn sotong pula..lagi manis rasa kuah tauchu tu... memang hantu tauchu pun...hehehehe

BANANA BREAD

Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter (room temperature)
3/4 cup brown sugar2 eggs (beaten)
2 1/3 cups bananas (overripe, mashed)

Directions:
1. Mix the flour, baking soda and salt in a large bowl.
2. Cream the butter and brown sugar in another bowl.
3. Stir the eggs and banana into the butter and sugar.
4. Stir the banana mixture into the flour mixture.
5. Pour the batter into a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
6. Bake in a preheated 350F oven until a tooth pick pushed into the center comes out clean, about 1 hour.
7. Chill in the fridge.

Malasnyaaaaa...

hari dah masuk hari kedua persekolahan selepas 2 minggu bercuti. tapi aku di sini semakin malas dan lemau je rasa...:-( bila lama dah tak ke dapur dan masak kek or biskut...ini lah jadiknya...lemau jer...adehhhh
kali terakhir aku masak sesuatu adalah hari ahad baru-baru ni... teringin nak makan kek pisang, search on internet for the recipe...terjumpa resipi BANANA BREAD kat blog sapa ntah...dah lupa...hmmm....mmg penyakit pelupa aku nih dah menjadi2 ... kena makan kismis banyak2 ni kan...? one thing .. i dun like raisins ... betull...aku tak suka raisins/kismis ... tapi kalau resepi kena guna raisins...terpaksa la aku ngikut...
resepi namanya BANANA BREAD ... bancuhannya seakan kek pisang tapi bila dimasak - strukturnya tak seperti kek pisang biasa ... ermmm... roti.. lebih kepada roti dan ianya agak padat tapi sedapppp.... i guna pisang emas yang dah masak ranum...so u can imagine rasa manis roti pisang nih...lagipun ianya menggunakan gula perang/brown sugar saja...

LANGKAWI - PART III





LANGKAWI - PART II





The last time we were in the 'Land of Mahsuri' ( as i called it..) was 5 years ago - at that time my little dotter - syafiqah was not even in the picture yet..and farid, the younger son was only 2 years plus...
and last weekend, we came back to visit the land again....and boyyy...what a tremendous development and changes Langkawi has been... we stay at the resort only - situated along PANTAI CENANG... my kids don't really like the resort room - well...we used to stay at the at least 4 stars hotel or apartment if we were on vacation...but i told them - we could use the extra money on shopping and site seeing and food ;-)
... anyway, i noticed Langkawi not that cheap anymore as it used to be last 5-8 years ago... well, it follows with the development though....
the second day we're at the island - it was raining heavily in the morning towards about noon ... so, we had to stay back in the room till the rain stops...
hmmmm...then we did our shopping and cable car trip...

Rinduuuuuuuuu.....and trip to Langkawi






memang sememangnya rindu...!! rasa lama tak memblog ... like so many stories want to update - i was away for about 1 week... bercuti :-)
normally we never plan if we want to go for a holiday or vacation ... never - that was what happened last week ... when suddenly hubby asked to check flight to LANGKAWI - then i knew - it's happened again....hehehehhe
on Monday, June 14, 2010 ... we headed to LANGKAWI by land ...phewwww...i saved few hundreds bucks on that (not worth to spend so much on air ticket for six of us) ...baik guna utk shopping kan...kan...kan... and that's what i/we did...:-)

STRAWBERRY BREAD RECIPE


1/2 cup (113 grams) unsalted butter
3/4 cup (150 grams) granulated white sugar
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 cups (260 grams) all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup sour cream or plain yogurt
1/2 cup (55 grams) toasted walnuts or pecans, coarsely chopped
1 1/2 cups chopped fresh strawberries

Strawberry Bread: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) and place the oven rack in the middle position. Butter and flour (or spray with a non stick vegetable/flour spray) the bottom and sides of an 8-cup loaf pan (9 x 5 x 3 inch) (23 x 13 x 8 cm). Set aside.


Place the walnuts (or pecans) on a baking sheet and bake for about 8 minutes or until brown and fragrant. Remove from oven and let cool completely before chopping coarsely. Set aside.


In the bowl of your electric mixer, or with a hand mixer, beat the butter until softened (about 1 minute). Add the sugar and continue to beat until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in the vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon. With the mixer on low, add the flour mixture (in three additions) and sour cream (in two additions) alternately, starting and ending with the flour. Mix only until combined. Gently fold in the chopped strawberries and walnuts.


Scrape the batter into the prepared pan and bake about one hour, or until the bread is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Place on a wire rack to cool and then remove the bread from the pan. Serve warm or at room temperature. This bread can be frozen.

Strawberry Bread

last few days i have been quite busy with my baking...ada tempahan cake cuma didnt turn out as i expected...i am a new beginner in every aspects of baking concerns..so, insyaAllah..in future i hope i am more ready..... and lebih memahami selok belok berniaga dan berurusan dgn orang luar...:-) orang kata, kalau tak tempuh kita tak tahu ... semuanya satu pengalaman dan pengajaran...
ok, back to my title ... Strawberry Bread...since i have a lot of strawberries left frm projek tak jadi/cancelled by penempah, i browsed internet - stopped at Joy of Baking and i saw this recipe ... Strawberry Bread .. perfect!! so, without any delay i tried the recipe (u cant keep yr fresh strawberries even in the fridge for long as they will get mole and rotten anyway..).

My Carrot Cake


tonite... i baked 3 types of cakes...! Puan GB order 3 biji Marble Cheese Cake and she also asked for samples for other cakes. so, tonite...i baked carrot cake as i mentioned in earlier post. I tell u...sedap giler..bukan nak puji masakan sendiri - but i was surprised myself...i have not tried any carrot cake recipe before but this recipe ... Best Carrot Cake Recipe In The World...it's truly indeed...
since the cake is so rich with the ingrediants ... it's kind of hard to cut the cake into little pieces nicely ( the thing is i cut the cake while it's still warm - can't wait to taste it..hihihi)..but hack...as long as the taste is yummilicious...no complaint!

Best Carrot Cake in The World

i wish to bake carrot cake (probably today) and i search internet - looking for the best recipe...and i found this recipe from Grouperecipes.com, so i C n P here... later i shall post the cake once it ready (if i bake...;-))

Best Carrot Cake In The World

Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground allspice
4 eggs
2 cups granulated sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract, essence or flavoring
1 1/4 cups veg oil
2 cups (5 med) grated carrots
1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 cup dried coconut
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup raisins

Frosting:
2 large packages of cream cheese
1/2 cup powdered sugar

Directions
Preheat oven to 350F/170C/Gas Mark4.
Coat a large loaf pan, 10x15x2 baking dish or bundt pan with oil or cooking spray.
In a mediium mixing bowl stir together using a wooden spoon the FLOUR, BAKING POWDER, BAKING SODA, SALT, CINNAMON, NUTMEG and ALLSPICE.
Set aside.
In another larger bowl mix together using a wooden spoon the EGGS, SUGAR and VANILLA.
Stir in the OIL until the mixture is thick.
Gently stir in the DRY ingredients.
Fold in the CARROTS, WALNUTS (optional), PINEAPPLE, COCONUT, and RAISINS.
Pour slowly into prepared pan and spread evenly.
Bake 55 to 60 minutes or until a knife inserted into the cake comes out clean.
Cool for 15 minute, then turn out on to plate or platter.

Frosting:
In a medium bowl use an electric mixer to blend the CREAM CHEESE and POWDERED SUGAR.
Spread on cake after it has cooled.
